Located near Clearco in Greenbrier County, WV, this subsidiary controls 36,000+ acres under lease. We have identified 10.6 MM recoverable tons of premium mid-volatile metallurgical coal in the Sewell Seam. We continue to explore the large property boundary to identify additional exploitable reserves.
The primary method of mining involves contour/area mining along with highwall mining. The mined coal is trucked to the Clearco Preparation Plant and loadout, our state-of-the-art facility constructed in 2013. Coal is shipped via CSX out of the New River Freight District to customers both domestic and international.
Located near Ashford in Boone and Kanawha Counties of West Virginia, this subsidiary controls 26,000+ acres under lease. We have identified 39.5MM recoverable tons of reserves consisting of both thermal and high volatile metallurgical coal. We continue to conduct exploration to identify additional exploitable reserves.
The primary method of mining involves contour mining along with highwall mining. Mined coal is transported to our Bull Creek preparation plant and loadout, our state-of-the-art facilities constructed in 2014. Coal is primarily shipped via CSX out of the Kanawha Freight District as a thermal as well as a High-Vol B/C to domestic and international customers. We also continue to evaluate participating in the Kanawha River markets.
